How PairScope scores tokens

Last updated: October 21, 2026. These are the exact rules the scanner runs today. If we change them, this page changes too.

Read this first. Every score here is an automated estimate from public data. None of them is an audit, a recommendation or a guarantee. A high score does not make a token safe, and scammers can pass basic checks. Not financial advice.

Data sources

Heat score (0 to 100): how active a token is right now

Heat measures momentum, not quality. A high Heat can be a real surge or manufactured activity.

ComponentHow it is calculatedMax points
Volume surgeLast-hour volume divided by the pair's average hourly volume (24h volume spread over its age, capped at 24 hours). Points = (surge − 1) × 10.50
1h price changeThe 1-hour % price change, counted only when positive.20
Buy pressureShare of last-hour trades that were buys. Points = (buy share − 0.5) × 60.30

If a pair had fewer than 10 trades in the last hour, Heat is halved. Colors: 60+ hot, 30 to 59 moderate, under 30 quiet.

Known weakness: Heat counts trades, not unique traders. One wallet trading with itself can inflate it.

Risk Radar (0 to 100): market-based safety signals

Starts at 100 and loses points for each warning. Labels: 75+ Lower risk, 50 to 74 Caution, under 50 High risk.

CheckPenalty
Pair age unknown−8
Launched under 1 hour ago / under 24 hours / under 1 week−25 / −15 / −6
Liquidity under $5k / $20k / $50k / $100k−35 / −25 / −12 / −5
Liquidity under 1% / under 3% of fully diluted valuation−12 / −6
24h volume above 20× liquidity (possible hype or wash trading)−10
30+ buys and zero sells (possible honeypot)−20
Sellers outnumber buyers by more than 1.5× (50+ trades)−10
Fewer than 50 trades in 24h−10
Price moved over 200% in 24h, or over 50% in the last hour−12 / −8

Known weakness: it uses market data only. It cannot see hidden mint functions, taxes or ownership tricks, which is why the Contract score exists.

Contract score (0 to 100): GoPlus security findings

Starts at 100 and loses points for each flag GoPlus reports. Colors: 80+ green, 55 to 79 yellow, under 55 red. Chains GoPlus does not cover show no score.

EVM tokens (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and others GoPlus supports)

FlagPenalty
Honeypot flag−55
Some holders cannot sell all tokens−40

Blacklist capability / ownership takeback possible−25 / −25

Sell tax 5% to 9% / 10%+−12 / −22
Top holders (excluding contracts) own 30% / 50% / 70%+ of supply−8 / −15 / −25
Creator wallet holds 20%+ of supply−10
Under 50% / under 20% of liquidity locked or burned−10 / −20

Known weakness: a clean scan only means GoPlus found nothing obvious. Brand-new contracts, upgradeable proxies and off-chain scams can slip through.

Verdict shown on token pages

Surges tab

Shows pairs from Trending and New Pairs where 1-hour volume is at least 2× the pair's average hour, Risk Radar is 50 or higher, the 1-hour price change is positive, and the Contract score is 80 or higher. Picks that pass are saved in your browser with their price at that moment, so you can see how they did afterward.

Paid listings and independence

Featured listings are paid placements shown in their own tab. They do not change any score on this page, and every featured token still shows its own Risk and Contract scores. Tokens that fail the contract scan are declined.
